Y es bonito cuando algo tan doloroso puede llegar a ser también tu inspiración, para mí hoy Blanca es mi inspiración de vida, en el trabajo. La recuerdo constantemente con sus hermanos. Los niños y su falta de desdramatizar las cosas, se acuerdan de cosas que son nuestras y yo los veo a ellos y está acá, está con nosotros, es impresionante”, relató el actor.
Benjamín indicó que fue en su trabajo donde logró canalizar más el dolor, realizando películas que lo ayudaron a abrir sus sentimientos respecto a la tragedia, como La memoria del agua, película que narra el duelo de dos padres tras la pérdida de un hijo. Finalmente, Vicuña indicó que tras esta participación le llegaron miles de mensajes a través de las redes sociales de personas que habían pasado por lo mismo que él y sintió una responsabilidad que no podía cargar.
“No me puedo hacer cargo porque no soy capaz y porque no tengo la experiencia ni la sabiduría para levantar una bandera y enseñarle nada a nadie (…) Antes era muy receloso a la hora de hablar de algo que sigue siendo lo más sagrado de mi vida, pero de a poco siento que puede ahí estar viendo y le sirve, enhorabuena”, concluyó.
